Get $1000 in Azure OpenAI Credits

Microsoft offers qualified users and startups $1,000 in Azure OpenAI credits via their startup portal.

All you need to do is sign up at portal.startups.microsoft.com, activate your profile, and apply for OpenAI usage.

This gives you access to GPT-4 and GPT-4o endpoints on Azure — perfect for integrating into your local setup.

Run your own Azure Foundry Model

Once approved, you can deploy a model instance using Azure Foundry.

You'll get:

  • A dedicated OpenAI-compatible endpoint
  • Your own API key
  • Full control over model calls and usage

This lets you operate just like ChatGPT Pro — but on your own infra.

Note: Dyad doesn't yet support Azure Foundry natively

But there's a workaround:

Use this open-source proxy from the community — azure-oai-proxy — to locally bridge requests.

It translates Azure's API format into OpenAI-compatible responses, allowing Dyad to work seamlessly.

To connect:

  1. Install the proxy
  2. Run it locally
  3. Add it to Dyad as a custom provider
